Ishmael Ensemble ‘A State Of Flow’

Bristolian musician and producer Pete Cunningham has swung from jazz-inflected house to house inflected-jazz since his long player ‘Sometimes In Space’ as Ishmael was released by Church in 2015. Having been fully Ensemble-d up for the past few years, the band pierces the lines of jazz with electronic flourishes and ready-for-action grooves. ‘A State Of Flow’ also features collaborators in the shape of vocalists Holysseus Fly and Yama Warashi, and acclaimed horn player Yazz Ahmed.
